CiteScore, a metric calculated by Scopus, measures the average citations received per document published in a specific journal over a certain period. For a journal newly indexed in this prominent international database, a first CiteScore of 2.4 represents an outstanding accomplishment. It serves as an early, objective indicator of the journal’s growing influence and demonstrates that published articles are attracting attention and citations within the scientific community.

While this outcome represents a positive performance in an increasingly competitive environment, we recognize the ongoing challenge of boosting citations to further elevate our journal's impact. To this end, we invite researchers and food scientists to contribute their most impactful work — work with the potential to shape the development of their fields, ignite scholarly debate, and attract citations. For submission guidelines, please visit here.

We extend our sincere thanks to the research community — authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and readers — whose contributions have made this early achievement possible. Your continued engagement will be crucial as we work to further elevate the journal's scholarly impact in foods and foodomics.
