Open Exploration reserves the right to modify and update the content on the Sites or in the Services (other than the open access content) at any time without notice.

All open access articles available on the Sites are licensed by the respective authors for use and distribution by you subject to citation of the authors and original source in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license. 

You agree that you will not use the Sites:

in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local or international law or regulation (including, without limitation, any laws regarding the export of data or software to and from the U.S. and other countries).

for the purpose of exploiting, harming or attempting to exploit or harm other individuals, including minors, in any way by exposing them to inappropriate content, asking for personally identifiable information, or otherwise.

to transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material, including any "junk mail", "chain letter," "spam," bulk mail, or similar solicitations.

to impersonate or attempt to impersonate Open Exploration, any Open Exploration employee, another user or any other person or entity (including, without limitation, by using email addresses associated with any of the foregoing or by spoofing Open Exploration's or someone else's identity).

to forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers (including URLs) in order to disguise the origin of any content.

to misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

to disrupt the normal flow of dialogue or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other user's ability to use the Sites.

to engage in activities that would violate any fiduciary or contractual relationship.

to collect or store personal data about other users of the Sites unless specifically authorized by such users.

to engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Sites, or which, as determined by us, may harm Open Exploration or users of the Sites or expose them or us to liability.

in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the Sites or interfere with any other party's use of the Sites, including their ability to engage in real time activities through the Sites.

by using any robot, spider, or other automatic device, process, or means for any purpose, including monitoring or copying any of the content, without the prior consent of an authorized Open Exploration representative.

through any manual process to monitor or copy any of the content or for any other unauthorized purpose without the prior consent of an authorized Open Exploration representative.

in any other manner that violates these Terms of Service.

Your content on the Sites refers to your articles submitted to or published by Open Exploration under an open access model. You retain the ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in your content under the CC BY license. You are responsible for all content that you submit for posting or publication on the Sites.

It is our sole discretion, subject to any rules and procedures applicable to any Site, whether or not we choose to publish or otherwise make available your content on the Sites. We may remove the content at our discretion, subject only to our obligations in respect of peer-reviewed articles.

We shall have no liability for your loss, damage or inconvenience suffered due to the unavailability, withdrawal, corruption or loss of any content, material or other information or data from or on any Site; or for any use of or reliance on any content on any Site.

Whilst we monitor each Site with a view to locating and fixing defects, you acknowledge and agree that we cannot and do not guarantee that each Site or any content of each Site will be error free, be available at all times and/or be free from viruses and defects. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of any Site or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.

The content available on Open Exploration Sites includes but not limited to publications, titles, logos, trademarks, data, texts, graphics, images, photographs, sounds, videos, adverts, messages, computer codes, scripts, applications and other materials. The content available on Open Exploration Sites, other than the open access content, is the intellectual property of Open Exploration and is for your personal noncommercial use.
