    What's Open Access

Traditionally, subscription-based journal publishers or owners own the copyright of published articles in most cases. Individuals or institutions who intend to read the full text of published articles will be charged for subscription. And those who want to use any content in any format must get permission first from the publisher or owner and then pay additional fees for the use.

Open access means that research outputs are available online to all readers without any barriers. Authors retain the copyright of their own works under this publishing model. Readers are able to use and share these content as long as they obey the license that the publisher adopts. Generally, the publisher will charge authors for processing the article to cover the publication cost. This cost may be paid by research sponsors, institutions or authors themselves.

    Our Open Access Policy

Open Exploration provides an immediate open access to all published content. All the articles of Open Exploration are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license to further facilitate open access and improve academic exchange among researchers. Under this license, authors hold the copyright of their works, and they agree to make their original works completely available and free to use, copy and redistribute in all formats without their permission as long as the authors and the original source are properly cited.
