On June 15, 2026, the journal Exploration of Neuroprotective Therapy (ENT, eISSN 2769-6510) under Open Exploration received official notification from Clarivate's Web of Science Core Collection. After rigorous selection and evaluation, ENT has met all requirements and been accepted into the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)! All articles published by the journal since 2024 will be fully indexed and searchable on the Web of Science™ platform. In addition, ENT is expected to receive its first impact factor in June 2027 and will be eligible for further review for inclusion in SCI/SCIE.

As one of the world's most authoritative and influential academic search platforms, Web of Science Core Collection applies strict inclusion rules. It thoroughly assesses journals on academic quality, editorial standards, publishing ethics and content expertise. As an important part of Web of Science Core Collection, ESCI serves as a prestigious reservoir for high-quality emerging academic journals. It only accepts peer-reviewed journals that pass the 24 strict quality criteria and show strong academic potential, acting as an important standard for evaluating the standardization and professionalism of academic journals. Journals listed in ESCI are integrated into Web of Science's citation analysis system. Their publications can be searched and cited by researchers worldwide, which creates a solid foundation for future inclusion in SCI/SCIE.

Following its earlier inclusion in Scopus, ENT's admission to ESCI marks another major milestone for its publishing quality and global influence. This success proves that international authoritative databases fully recognize ENT's academic strength, global influence, standardized publishing procedures and development potential. Going forward, ENT will continue to focus on core research areas: neurodegenerative diseases, neuroprotection and neurorestoration. By keeping pace with global cutting-edge research, the journal aims to build an effective academic exchange platform for researchers worldwide in the field of neuroprotection, and provide professional references for relevant scholars.

ENT's inclusion in ESCI also reflects international recognition of Open Exploration's comprehensive publishing strength, standardized operations and academic management. This achievement will further raise the company's global profile, help attract more high-quality articles and academic talents, and set a great example for more subsequent journals to strive for international high-level indexing.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Editor-in-Chief, editorial board members, authors, reviewers and all partners who have supported us over the years. We will keep moving forward and pursuing continuous improvement.
