Yanyan is primarily responsible for publishing operations, department coordination, personnel management and training. She is also in charge of communication and cooperation with the international publishing industry to ensure that all processes and links of Open Exploration's publishing work comply with the highest standards of the academic publishing industry.

As Scientific Advisor to Open Exploration, Osborne Almeida (ORCID: 0000-0001-7331-6928) advises the Editorial Team regarding the establishment and content growth of journals, editorial processes, and communication. Osborne is presently a Guest Scientist at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry (Munich, Germany) and Professor of Neuroscience at the School of Medicine, University of Minho (Braga, Portugal). He has more than 35 years experience as a biomedical researcher, with collaborations on leading institutes in China and Japan, Europe and the United States of America. He has been leading a number of transnational research consortia, and serving as an advisor to a number of international funding agencies. Osborne has published over 175 peer-reviewed articles, and currently serves other leading publishers in an editorial capacity.

Aria and her team are responsible for the development and operation of Open Exploration journals, including communicating with Editors-in-Chief, building editorial board and liaising with them, soliciting contributions, introducing hot topics, coordinating article publication as well as promoting the journals and articles. The team will also conduct and implement annual analyses and database indexing.

Mai and her team are responsible for coordinating the peer review process for articles submitted to Open Exploration journals, liaising with journal editors, reviewers and authors to facilitate efficiency. In addition, her team assists academic editors to select high-quality manuscripts, and is responsible for all post-acceptance processes, including proofreading, typesetting, XML files production, final article online publishing and depositing of metadata.

Christine is responsible for the ARES system, a self-developed manuscript and peer review platform, including operation and maintenance, promotion and publicity and reviewer recruitment. She also provides advice and plans for publishing process optimization projects, and is in charge of their development and implemention.

Yue has extensive experience in project development and management. He leads the IT team responsible for the development and support of the website, including the development, maintenance and optimization of ARES and other systems to ensure website efficiency and security of Open Exploration operations. Yue and his team also provide technical support for users.
