EM Achieves CiteScore 2025 of 2.9, Reflecting Strong Growth

Exploration of Medicine (EM) is pleased to announce a CiteScore of 2.9 in the Scopus CiteScore 2025 release, marking a substantial increase from 1.8 in 2024.

In the latest rankings, EM is placed 207th among 669 journals in the General Medicine category, positioning the journal in the 69th percentile and maintaining its status in Quartile 2 (Q2).

The 2025 CiteScore is based on 865 citations received by 301 documents, reflecting the growing visibility, influence, and citation impact of the research published in EM. The increase to 2.9 indicates not only a higher level of citation activity, but also broader recognition and engagement with the journal’s recently published research. Compared with 2024, when EM was ranked 267th among 668 journals in the same category and placed in the 60th percentile, the journal has improved by 60 positions in the rankings, alongside a 9-percentage-point increase in percentile performance within one year.

This upward trajectory reflects the quality and relevance of published manuscripts, as well as the continued contributions of our authors, reviewers, Editorial Board Members, and Guest Editors. Their engagement remains central to the journal’s development.
