Expedited Review Process – Exploration of Cardiology
The Exploration of Cardiology journal offers an expedited review pathway for manuscripts previously submitted to high-impact journals that underwent full peer review but were ultimately not accepted for publication. Authors who believe the reviewers’ concerns are addressable may request rapid consideration by our editorial board.
The Expedited Review Track allows urgent and competitive research to start peer-review immediately after submission. Peer-review of papers on the Expedited Review Track can be completed within 1-2 weeks.
To qualify for expedited review, authors must include the following materials at the time of submission. Please send a pre-submission inquiry to the Editorial Office (ecjournal@explorationpub.com) before submitting your paper to the Expedited Review Fast Track.
1. A cover letter clearly identifying:
The original journal to which the manuscript was submitted;
A statement confirming that the manuscript has been thoroughly revised in response to the prior reviewers’ comments and formatted in accordance with the Journal of Exploration of Cardiology guidelines;
A formal request for expedited review under this pathway.
2. A copy of the decision letter from the original journal, including the full set of peer reviewer comments.
3. A detailed point-by-point response addressing each reviewer comment, with revisions highlighted in color demonstrating how changes were made in response to the feedback.
Upon receipt, the editorial team will evaluate the request and accompanying materials to determine if the manuscript is suitable for expedited handling. If the paper falls within the journal’s scope and the prior reviewer critiques are deemed to have been fully addressed, the Editors may render a decision without additional external review. When approved for ‘Expedited Review Process’, manuscripts previously considered by other journals can be uploaded to our online submission system ARES system https://ec.aressystem.com.
Please note that the expedited pathway does not guarantee acceptance. Further revisions may still be required before final approval for publication. If the Editors determine that additional peer review is necessary, the manuscript will proceed through our standard review process, and authors will be notified accordingly.
