abstract = {Major gaps in hypertension control continue despite effective treatments. Among patients who are diagnosed and treated, adherence to therapy remains a barrier to achieving and maintaining control. Multiple modalities have demonstrated success in facilitating adherence. Using fixed dose combination therapy and home self blood pressure (BP) monitoring are 2 major approaches offering significant advantages to improve adherence, lower BP, and ultimately improve outcomes. While no single modality is universal for all patients, exploring the advantages and challenges of these modalities is a key strategy to identify the ideal approach to achieve better BP control.},
